iPad Presentation App for Franchises

What do otherwise dissimilar companies as McDonalds, Rent A Center, Aamco, and Days Inn have in common? If you guessed that they operating as franchises, you’re correct.

According to the International Franchise Association, franchising is a system wherein (1) the franchisor, lends his trademark or trade name and a business system to (2) the franchisee, who pays a royalty and often an initial fee for the right to do business under the franchisor’s name and system.

Convey the benefits of franchising your concept to potential franchisees by digitizing your sales and marketing collateral.

Here are three tips for franchisors to consider in developing an iPad Presentation App:

1) Showcase your brand

The value of your brand is of the utmost importance to potential franchisees. Each brand has a story to tell – this story must be effectively delivered to potential franchisee so that they can gain an appreciation for what makes your brand, and their potential investment unique. It’s a good idea to include information such as brand history, product offerings, locations, competitive analyses, and more so that you can arm potential franchisees with enough information for them to make one of the most important financial decisions of their lives.

2) Showcase past performance and future projections.

Taking the plunge and becoming a franchisee is an investment. Therefore, it’s imperative that you arm prospective franchisees with enough financial information to favorably influence their decision to ultimately make an investment in the continued success and endurance of your company. Annual reports, investor information, financial projections, and growth statistics all make sense to include in this section. The more up front you are with prospective franchisees, the more likely your pitch will resonate with them.

3. Include multimedia and interactivity.

Ensure that your app is interactive and multimedia-laden. Multimedia-rich, interactive apps are more engaging and ultimately cultivate a stronger relationship between brand and consumer- or in this case, between business partners. Perhaps include video testimonials of current franchisees touting their success, images of location layouts, interactive diagrams elucidating various franchise rules and regulations, and perhaps even a message from the CEO to solidify an already effective and engaging app.
